Hello! Happy Wednesday! Instead of doing a ‘Great Deal Wednesday post,’ I thought I’d do a money saving recipe =) Yesterday I made homemade tahini. We found sesame seeds at 2.69 a pound at Whole Foods Market and after a few twirls in the Vitamix we had tahini!

Roasting the sesame seeds made them very fragrant, the kitchen smelled lovely =)

The only thing I added to the sesame seeds was a little bit of olive oil (1/8-1/4 cup of olive oil for two cups of sesame seeds). I am happy with the results so far. (I used a tsp in a batch of ‘cheesy’ rice crackers – recipe soon).
