Oat milk is a wonderful milk substitute! It is easy to make, inexpensive and a great stand in for milk in cereals and baking/cooking. (and Nathan does love his Kashi U cereal, as you can probably tell from the below pictures =)

Oat Milk:

  • 2/3 cups of oats soaked overnight in 2 cups of water
  • 1/3 cup of dates
  • 1/3 cup of cashews
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp of salt

Blend all ingredients in blender (soaking water included). Next add enough water to make two quarts of milk, mix and refridgerate =)

Oat milk can be enjoyed many ways besides cereal. Use it to coat baked tofu or bake raisin cinnamon bread!
